The recruiter had said that I would be called for the phone interview, but this was not the case; I managed to dial into the conference line a few minutes late. I was let down by the interview as I had heard so much about Amazon's recruiting. They kept interrupting me during every other sentence when I was trying to explain my background and experience, and the only real questions they asked were "How much direct database manipulation did you do" and "Did you work in a CI environment". Fair enough questions to ask in the interview process, but it seemed that those were the only two questions that they asked. They did not want to hear anything else from me, cutting the interview short. I implored them if they had any other questions or would like to hear about my vast background and experience, but they said no. Sad!
