Never had chance to meet anyone, went through a few rounds, telephone, filming myself then a morning of three separate ‘Amazonians’ interviewing me via online the forum.
The online was slightly distracting on my part as it seemed that they were concentrating on something else in the background rather than listening to me, if face to face I would have known they were interested in what I was saying. I also felt that a connection which you usually get face to face could be meaning Amazon are missing out on some really great people out there. (Ps - even face to face I don’t believe that would have been me, I knew after seeing the selection managers I was defo not an Amazonian 😀)
So why positive? This was a whole new experience for me, introducing me to new ways of recruitment.
Two negatives to consider - they only seemed to arrange interviews one day a week - under major pressure to attend on this day or miss out on the job. If your working expectation was to still attend which is a little cheeky on there part.
The second was the salary - advertised at £35-£40k although small print did state that starting could be as low as £20. The only number mentioned throughout the interview process was £11.95 plus £1 per hour for night shifts. Would would have been a significant salary drop for me.
