I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Apr 2020
Interview
Submitted an application.
Received an invitation to book a phone interview.
Had a 45 minute phone chat with the person with the manager for the role where she asked me several questions based on leadership principles. Felt this went well, and received a phone call later that day from HR explaining that I had been invited to a final stage interview.
A few days later, I received confirmation of this with instructions to complete an online numerical assessment and more information about the final stage interview. We also had to take part in mandatory "prep call" with other candidates for the role which was weird and awkward.
Final stage interview was a rotating set of 4 45 minute interviews where you get asked a variety of questions derived from the leadership principles, but where you explained it in the context of a scenario where you displayed them. Also had a few case studies. You have a bar raiser who is the outlier in the group of interviewees in that they aren't in the team. You can generally tell which of the 4 went well by the demeanour, body language and level of communication of the other party.
I was initially very excited by the role but as the hours went by with my potential future colleagues, my enthuasiam waned and I opted for a different offer with another company however I still class it as a positive experience because it moved quickly, and Amazon's recruiter maintain excellent communication throughout.
Great management, it was a walk in drive and the HR team was able to manage everything well. Enjoyed the process.
All the best to everyone going for the interview.
fairly easy. phone then hiring manager. took a few weeks to hear back and didn’t get the job unfortunately. i will keep trying! amazon is a great company and i think i just need a bit more experience.
1 Phone screen, 4 loops of behavioral interviews. A bar raiser is involved in one of the 4 loops. They respond back in the same week regarding the next steps / feedback
