      Interview

Typical Amazon interview process, recruiter then hiring manager. Most of the questions are the related to the leadership principles. Recruiter will tell you what leadership principles to focus on. You will not be able to tell whether you did well or not. The leadership principles and Jeff Bezos culture will be referred to and cited, so if you really want to work there get comfortable speaking about them.

      Question 1

      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Amazon (Los Angeles, CA) in Sept 2021

      Interview

The phone interview was mostly technical and specifically related to questions about items on my resume so prepare wisely plus. I over prepared in the behavioral part which worked against me. We started off with some light banter. The interviewer then explained the flow of the interview. We started with questions about my resume with follow up and probing questions. Then technical questions about AWS. Then technical questions about eLearning. Then 2 - 3 quick behavioral questions. At the end I received 5 minutes to ask my own questions. Topics they inquire about: Experience with AWS CLI Experience with CloudFormation Inquired about programming exp related to languages on resume (What capacity have you coded in those languages) JSON and YAML (Can you write one from scratch?) AWS Certifications (Do you have any?)
