I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in Oct 2020
Interview
Very straightforward, almost exactly how they describe it to be. Their whole philosophy seems to be to diligently inform you about what to expect and put the ball in your court. Know the leadership principles like the back of your hand and be able to speak of them in terms of your own experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to work at Amazon? Why do you want to be an Area Manager? What is the greatest challenge you overcame and how did you learn from it? Tell me about a time you were innovative (several leadership principle based questions)
Star Method and Leadership Principles. Just study these from the materials they give you, and form a story for each principle, and when they ask questions, you can see which principle they are asking about.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you faced a conflict or disagreement at work and how did you handle it?"
Multiple online tests after application, followed by a virtual interview with various staff. Staff did not want to be on camera and did not have many good things to say about working there.
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
