I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Fairly quick interview process, with initial screens followed by day long detailed interviews. While the process isn't cumbersome, the interviewers are so focused in making sure the candidate fits the set list they have in front of them, that the interview loses all its conversational tone, or for that matter, all the humane and experience driven perspective it should be about. You end up being caught in situations where if you prepare, you may come across as robotic, with canned responses, which apparently is what this employer is looking for.

I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stockton, CA)
Interview
Really long exams before the interview. Interview was not scheduled quickly and I didn't have a lot of time to coordinate with my current job. They also didn't give a lot off information about what the job actually entailed.

Question 1
what is your availability? This seemed very important
The first step, the virtual interview process, was fairly long but easy to navigate and work through, and shortly after, I received an invite to interview in person. However, the location for which they reached out for was for the wrong state.

Question 1
Manager experience, scenarios where I had to act as a manager
Ghosted me after the interview, and they did not notify me I was no longer under consideration. I manually had to check the job portal to verify job application status after a virtual assessment and interview.
