I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2024
Interview
It was Round 1 of interviews. Started off with a coding question followed by Learning Principles. For the coding question, there was a text editor where I had to write the code (no IDE or option to run the code).
I answered every single question, implemented the asked code, and the subsequent enhancements. The interviewer also seemed to be satisfied with my answers for the Leadership Principles. However, I was rejected with absolutely no feedback whatsoever.

Interview
Disgraceful. Received an email with a link to an online assessment and demo test along with another email from an Amazon representative telling me that the test should be completed by the 14th May.
Spend several evenings practicing with the demo test which was leetcode hard difficulty style DSA algo problems - mainly array manipulation with the greedy approach.
Sat down to do the test on the 13th only to suddenly get an email that my application was rejected. Emailed the HR representative to ask why, as the deadline was the 14th - only to get an out of office reply. Emailed the address given in the ooo reply - no answer.
Decided to do the test anyway. It was TOTALLY different from the demo questions - really misleading.
No algo problems - instead it's two frontend problems - the first is form validation for a name, email, phone form along with adding a new entry to a list with search by phone number.
The second is a product wishlist app. I should have studied the problems on GreatFrontEnd - both of them were there.
After this two hour coding exam there is a work style questionnaire where you are given a choice between two bad options over and over for example:
"Which is more like you:
1. I take deadlines seriously
2. I like to learn new things when I have the time" etc

Interview
I recently completed a technical front-end assessment, followed by a one-hour phone interview that included three behavioral questions and a technical coding challenge. Although the coding challenge was somewhat challenging, I believe I performed well, and the interviewer seemed positive. However, despite my efforts, I received an email stating, ‘After careful consideration, we have decided not to progress with your application to the next steps, while we cannot provide additional feedback or details about this decision, we appreciate your time in our recruitment process.’ Unfortunately, the response lacked any constructive feedback, which makes it challenging to identify areas for improvement
