I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at American Airlines in Nov 2025
Interview
I was excited about the prospect of joining the Revenue Optimization team at American Airlines, but the interview experience was honestly one of the worst I have encountered in my career.
From the moment the call started, the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming. It did not feel like a conversation to assess mutual fit; it felt like a hostile interrogation.
The interview consisted entirely of them reading from a script. They drilled me on about 6 or 7 back-to-back probability questions. When I paused to think or got stuck on a specific logic puzzle, there was absolutely no guidance or collaboration. Usually, interviewers will offer a nudge to see how you think, but here, they just stared blankly. If this is how they treat candidates, I can only imagine what the culture is like for actual employees.
Advice to Candidates:
Be prepared for a high-stress environment. Brush up heavily on probability, but also be prepared for interviewers who may not be interested in helping you succeed.
