I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX)
Interview
Group interview online and then in person interview. I felt like the in person interview process was not welcoming at all compared to other airlines. We had some group activities where they would tell us to be social etc, and then the guy running it would start talking again. I was seated where my back was facing away because that’s the seat I got. He basically yelled at me because I didn’t hear or see when he began again. When that happened I knew I didn’t get it. Oh well. Don’t sit in that seat if you can help it. I did not like that they did not get to know you or do a 1 on 1 interview during the entire process. I did not get the job, but I got my dream airline. So, I’m glad I didn’t. All other places do one on one interviews and I feel like it is less about appearances. I know I wasn’t invested in this interview, but I still feel like I went to other mainline interviews and had better overall experiences on the day. I would say if you go to the F2F be mindful of your appearance more than anything. Smile. They only asked us like 1 or 2 questions. American is a good airline Im not hating on them I just didn’t move the experience.
