I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX)
Interview
As of 2023, the progression from application to CJO (Conditional Job Offer) is as follows:
Submit application with resume, preferably as soon as it opens online.
Online Assessment (I have heard others that haven’t had this portion but it’s very easy)
Invite to Virtual Group Interview
Invite to Face to Face Interview in Dallas at AA Headquarters (flights to and from are provided but if you want to fly in the day before, which I suggest, you will need to find and pay for your hotel stay)
CJOs given at F2F interviews but I know it is possible to get one later but it’s not common.

Question 1
Specific interview questions are not to be shared but each interview had a different vibe. For instance, the virtual interview was more personality based questions. Face to face will have more job related and situational questions. Dress to impress. I suggest conservative with a twist. For me that meant a nice tailored blazer and pants but I wore a polka dot blouse that differentiated me from the crowd. Don’t break the bank, look at thrift stores and find a tailor to customize items to your shape if needed. I found an amazing Calvin Klein blazer at Macys that was on clearance for under $30. Look for quality fabrics and avoid cheap fast fashion. It doesn’t have to be expensive to look expensive. You’ll be able to rewear your interview outfit at training once you land your CJO so you’ll get more than one wear out of it. Smile and engage with others in a genuine way and let your personality shine. Always uplift others during the interview process. They’ll be accepting more than 1 person so don’t think of it as a competition. Go on American’s careers website and study their core values and motto. Read the job descriptions! Use some of the key words not only in your resume when applying but also during the virtual and F2F interviews.
