It was easy. I first met the owner, who asked me some basic questions. Then I spoke with the lab manager, who also asked about my previous roles and a few simple technical questions.

Very straightforward. The owner will ask you simple questions about basic chemistry concepts. He asks about your work ethic and will check with your references to make sure you are vetted.
