I located the position on a job board and applied immediately. I was emailed 1-2 to days later (on a Friday around noon) asking if I would be available to interview the next Monday. I responded to the email within 30 minutes and provided my availability. I did not hear back from anyone until Sunday night around 10 PM after I sent 2 follow-up emails that were not responded to. Due to the short notice and my current positions responsibilities, I was not able to meet for an in-person, which she was peeved at (but you asked me a question and I responded but they didn't respond to me for almost 3 days so that really wasn't my issue. Why ask a question if you aren't expecting a response?) and we agreed on a phone interview. I asked for a confirmation on time and who would be calling whom, but did not receive one. The discussed (but not confirmed time) was 11 am. I assumed they would be calling me. I received an email probably around 11:20 saying they would call me at 12 instead. I received a call around 12:10. I was already very uneasy with the professionalism, communication, and lack of coordination before speaking to the interviewer, but based on the job posting, thought that was why they needed someone like myself; someone to help them become more organized and professional. The interviewer seemed completely disinterested in speaking to me and it felt like an inconvenience. I knew I was highly qualified (maybe too qualified, but I was looking to step down from my current position at my company for many personal reasons). The interviewer acknowledged that my over-qualification would not hinder my chances based on my reasoning. She informed me they would contact me either way by Friday. I sent a follow-up email thanking for the time and consideration with my availability if they would like to do an in-person as phone interviews are difficult. I received no response, nor did I hear from them to tell me yes or no. I'm highly doubtful that the person hiring actually has any professional experience or any hr experience. Completely disorganized and unprofessional.
