The hiring process was fairly quick. It started with an initial chat with the co-founder, followed by a short technical interview, and then multiple culture-fit interviews with different team members. They required in-person attendance for nearly all stages.
However, I strongly advise anyone considering this company to stay away. After receiving an offer, they asked for a response within a week. Wanting to weigh my options, I had a conversation with my current employer. Throughout the process, I was transparent about my notice period, explaining that it ranged from 2 to 3 months depending on project commitments and flexibility.
They were eager for me to start as soon as possible, and I made it clear that my contractual notice was 3 months. However, I assured them that as soon as I received the full employment contract, I would begin negotiating an earlier exit with my current employer. Despite this, they abruptly rescinded the offer, claiming my notice period was too long.
This decision made little sense—especially for a permanent role. If they truly saw me as the “perfect candidate,” waiting an additional month shouldn’t have been an issue. What made it worse was that they knew I had already initiated discussions about my resignation.
Looking back, their behavior aligns with comments I heard from their junior engineers during the interview process. It seems they run the company with a short-sighted, transactional mindset, showing little regard for employees.
