There was an initial virtual interview with the hiring manager and then an in—person interview—there was no contact with HR at all. The job requires in-office work, so it was good to check the commute.

Ablauf des eigentlichen Vorstellungsgesprächs:
Freundliche Begrüßung, anschließend circa 30 minütiges Gespräch über bisherige Praktika und Motivationen, abschließend eine Rundführung durch das Unternehmen und Kennenlernen durch den Abteilungsleiter.

I applied for the position end of May, two weeks later I had my job interview in Germany with HR, Head of International Sales, Country manager, GM. Very friendly environment. Questions were addressed to find out my personality, market information, sales strategy.
