7 interviews, thorough checks on your references. You will have several interview with HR, your team and team's directors. Very friendly along the process, and a great guidance at the start of the job from the recruiting team.
- Why should we choose you instead of another candidate?

Introductory call with HR, followed by 4 more interviews and a test. The worst interview experience of my career, here's why: (1) seems no one at this company is a mature professional or knows how to interview. I was asked the same rote questions by every person in every interview. A red flag was the direct manager mentioning during the interview their team has morale issues. The final interview with the director was appalling as they bad-mouthed another company, and seemed completely uninterested in interviewing. (2) No one and I mean no one I interviewed with knew what their responsibilities were or how to do what they said they supposedly did. For instance, little to no understanding of basic crm software for a sales based job, and a shocking lack of willingness to solve basic customer relations problems. Also, no one I interviewed with could tell me what my actual job responsibilities and KPI's would be; they couldn't even expound on the advertised JD. (3) After going through the full interview process, my references were requested and given, after which I was categorically ghosted (not before they strung me along for a couple of weeks). A wholly unpleasant, disheartening and appallingly unprofessional experience. And for a job and company whose raison d'etre and 'aspirations' I believed in and wanted to champion with my skillset and passion.
- Give me an example of a difficult work situation you had and how you handled it.

A quick interview with an HR person, then a writing test, then interviews with the team. The writing test is the most invovled: two different tests that take 1.5 hours each

The interview process at Artsy is professional and very efficient. Also quite thorough. A series of 4/5 interviews in total over the course of 2 weeks. Plenty of room to learn more about the role.
- Tell me a time when you had to deal with a challenge and how did you overcome it.

Wonderful experience. I applied online and had a screening call with a recruiter who was very friendly and really took the time to answer all of my questions. The next round was a meeting with the hiring manager, after that I met with 3 cross-functional partners. Everyone came prepared with specific questions and gave me a very good sense of the teams I would be working with. Recruiting was in touch within a day or two of each round and gave me a guide with details on each round and tips for how to prepare. They gave me feedback as to why they did not move forward and it made a lot of sense - I understand their decision and had a great experience. This company puts a lot of thought into their interview process and really makes an effort to make the candidate experience a positive one. I recommend applying.
- Why Artsy? What experience do you have with complex commercial contracts? Tell me about a mistake you made and how you handled it.

They were nice people, I thought it was an overall good interview. I would have accepted the offer if I had been given the oppertunity, but I did not receive one.
- What are you passions and how did you hear about Artsy?

Just met with a member of the HR team. While I gained insight to the company's new initiatives, it felt a bit cold and removed. I didn't learn as much about the company as I had hoped I would have.
- Could you please tell us about yourself?

I had an initial interview with a talent acquisition manager which went well, subsequently, a follow-up interview with an HR rep more directly related to the job was scheduled, and there were talks for follow-up interviews with three other senior employees. However, after a lack of contact over a week, I was suddenly told I had been rejected due to a change in the role's level.
- What is your past experience? Why are you interested in this position? Where do you see yourself in five years? What would keep you interested in this position?

The interview process was straightforward, and they even gave me feedback post-interview. It all made sense from a candidate's perspective. I do not have anything negative to say about the company.
- Why do you see yourself as a good fit for the role?
