I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2023
Interview
First code signal assessment then an hour-long phone screen with an engineer using code signal (Google Docs type thing) finally virtual onsite which is a couple of sessions throughout the day with different people. 1st is a 15-minute welcome session with your recruiter. Then an optional 30-minute chat with an engineer who was part of an identity group you aligned with. Then another 1 hour screen over docs but this time with camera on. Finally a 2-hour session with another engineer. The first 15 is to introduce the problem and the opportunity to ask them questions about it. Then 70 minutes code independently (they leave the Zoom call). Then they rejoin and do a code review together.
very standard oa - phone - onsite process except they dropped the ball a couple of times that made me miss the opportunity to have the final round of interview before roles were filled. Very disappointed
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
leetcode style question, very standard. but I heard they have SD for final round which is both ridiculous and funny
several interviews and all super difficult for an internship level. The expectations is that you are a very seasoned junior, not a student. Friendly interviewers but the technical components is quite challenging.

Question 1
usual algorithm questions you'd find on hackerrank
I applied online. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
Very straightforward process with a codesignal followed by a coding round, then an onsite with a system design then behavioral interview. Questions were leetcode focused but generally easy to find online

There was a question about a very hungry rabbit, I'm sure you can find this one online
