First interview was short and with a recruiter asking basic questions. Subsequent interview with owner and managers was on the longer side. Initially it was in a group, then one on one with each person. These people were incredibly smart and asked the most difficult interview (technical and non-technical) questions I've ever had to answer.

The interview process consisted of several rounds and lasted multiple hours in total. It was one of the most technical and thorough interview experiences I’ve encountered, testing both practical knowledge and analytical thinking skills. The initial rounds with recruiters focused on foundational technical concepts and general knowledge questions, followed by written assessments. After progressing through those stages, I met with engineers who presented advanced technical challenges. One was a verbal scenario that required thoughtful reasoning, another was an architectural design exercise, and the final stage involved a remote troubleshooting session. After completing approximately six rounds, including a cognitive test, I did not receive an offer. While reflecting on the experience, I came across a YouTube interview featuring the CEO, Serge Bukhar, titled “Zero to $60M 100% Organically.” Around the 24-minute mark, he explains that the company seeks engineers who take a scientific approach to troubleshooting rather than relying on memorized methods. Looking back, I believe I performed well throughout most of the process and came close to the finish line. The final technical rounds were especially challenging, as they introduced additional hurdles and unexpected twists that required on-the-spot adaptation. While these final steps tested my limits, they also highlighted how important it is to continuously refine my troubleshooting approach as new variables emerge. Overall, it was a demanding but valuable experience that helped me identify how to further strengthen my technical and problem-solving skills for future opportunities.
