Received a request to set up an interview within a few days of applying. The recruiter cancelled the interview last minute saying he was booked up. I provided my open availability to schedule again as requested. Did not hear back for a week so I followed up. Did not hear anything for another week until I received a response at the end of the day asking to to meet the very next day. I already had other interviews scheduled during that time so I recommended alternative times. Received a rejection a week later. From a candidate perspective, being contacted for an interview and then not getting a response for weeks at a time looks very bad. I am not impressed. All of my replies were within minutes of being contacted. Even if your already in the middle of interviewing just say that. Don’t don’t contact people and leave them hanging, it looks very bad.
