The process began with an initial interview with a member of the HR team, where we discussed my experience and motivations. This lasted around 30 minutes. If successful, you are invited to a full interview day which was well organised and included a paired technical test while another engineer was present in the room. The atmosphere was fairly laid back and I was given the opportunity to ask questions and use Google if I found it necessary. After the tech test, there was an office tour and I was informed about the next steps. After the tour you are given immediate feedback from the 2 engineers present in the technical test and informed if you had made it to the next stage. After this you are given an hour for lunch to recharge before the next stage which was a value-based interview, followed by a technical experience and motivation-related questions. Within the next couple of days you are notified on your progress. If you are successful, the final stage of the interview is a 30 minute chat with a member of the senior leadership team. Overall, although the full interview day can be quite stressful, I much prefer the immediate feedback over a long drawn out process which can take over a month.
