I applied online. I interviewed at BLICK Art Materials in May 2026
Interview
Applied and received a call (no email prior) regarding my application several weeks later. I had actually forgot that I applied to this role. I called the 'recruiter' back and she scheduled a remote interview with the Director of HR. The interview itself was 30 minutes and it was weird because I got the impression that the Director of HR did not like their job and it seemed like they have been at the company too long. I expected crickets after the interview based on the interviewer's energy alone but I did receive a no thanks email two weeks later with weird verbiage. It seems like the people there are strictly HR professionals and I can see how that would be a problem. Seems like the team may need a complete refresh with new people who can come in and hit the ground running.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at BLICK Art Materials (New York, NY) in Jun 2022
Interview
It was relaxed friendly atmosphere. Had two people, manager and store manager interviewed me. As it was about 10 yrs ago, I do not remember the details, but I remember talking about my art background and knowledge.
Five seperate interviews
Ghosted no response or feedback
Complete waste of time
The team claims a strong diverse work environment, none visible during the long, long, tedious process. I have seen supreme court confirmations with less bueracracy.
Just run away,
