I applied for Backbase US. First the recruiter contacted me for the intro call. She asked me several questions and also told me that the orientation will take place in Amsterdam and ask me if I can go there for the orientation. I gave her positive response, then, maybe because of my accent, she asked if I can travel there because of my nationality. I told her I'm US citizen, but again maybe because of my accent she said "seriously are you citizen by birth?". At that moment, I knew she does not know anything about citizenship by naturalization. So briefly told he about that. Then she asked me if I can do an assignment, and I told her yes. She also asked me if I can do it within 3ish days. There came an assignment, so huge! Anyhow, despite having a full-time job in FANG, I completed it and send it her way. A couple of days later she got back saying I passed the assignment, and next phase will be interview with hiring manager, and that someone from her team will schedule the interview. After that for 2 weeks, every Monday she sent me 2 lines of email saying she wanted to schedule. I sent her like 6 emails, called her 5 times, asking to expedite the process with no response! Such a waste of time! No respect for candidates time and effort!
