I applied through other source. I interviewed at Backbase in Jul 2019
Interview
The recruiter reached me from Linkedin and arranged the first interview with the two product owners at the Backbase office. It was an hour long interview and they mostly questioned my product owner skills even though the position was IT business analyst. At one point one of them asked me: How will I work with the product owner? It seemed that they were not sure about the responsibilities of the BA position. The next day the recruiter called me to arrange case interview. He sent me a case about a new feature of a mobile banking app. They wanted me to prepare a presentation to kick off a refinement meeting with the development team like a role playing. I had a week to prepare the presentation.
Again the questions were mostly about the product owner`s role such as setting success criterias etc. They did not questioned too much about the user stories which was actually the core part for the refinement .
Most suprising thing was although the case that sent me clearly identify that "you are going to prepare the case as a part of the IT team of a bank. "they asked me that "why you did not prepared it like a third party like Backbase?" It was a clear indication that they were not aware of the details of the case.
The real problem was not the interviews, their attitude after the interviews. The company did not call or write to me about the conclusion of the process. I sent many reminders and I did not get any answer.
It has been 3 months and still I dont know the conclusion. I consider this as a DISRESPECTFULLNESS against a candidate who spent time and effort on the interviews.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Backbase (Singapore) in Oct 2023
Interview
The process is professional. Interviewers are nice and kind. they make me comfortable while conducting the interview. The process includes of 4 rounds: firstly, HR manager may spend around 30 mins with you to check your simple ability (like English communication, the way you communicate well or not). HR manager also shared about company mission and vision, position requirements. If you have any question, you can ask HR managers in scope of work and company. Secondly, you get an interview with manager specialized in the role you apply to. For example, your role is Business Analyst, you can have interview with Principal Business Analyst and so on. Third round is a presentation test where you are given a case study then you need to prepare your presentation to share about it. Lately, wait for a magic happen if HR contact you and inform a good news.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Normally they asked about my working experiences and give me a test case to test my knowledge and skills.
Many questions, though situational, did feel like they needed to be answered with text-book answers. Kind of felt like an interrogation more than anything else. Also seemed like the interviewer accepts only their way of doing things as the right answer.
