I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
Process was through Referral. Went through phone screening and 2 case interviews. I had previously made it to final round Bain and McK the year prior so I felt comfortable with cases. However one of the interviewers seemed slightly underprepared, which didn't help with case solving. One case (underprepared interviewer) went ok, second case went perfectly. Was told I'd hear back by phone by the end of the week however was never contacted. Followed up twice the following two weeks (after reaching out to interviewers on LinkedIn as well) and then I received a short e-mail reply the following week stating I was not being considered moving forward. Asked for feedback however I was not given any. Not sure if it were because it was a 1) referral 2) non-academic recruiting situation, or 3) because of visa status as the cases were definitely to the standard of a first-round case interview.

Question 1
Why consulting, why now. Case about Manufacturing handbags and another about a bike rental company.
2 rounds of interviews, each round consisting of 3 interviews with cases. In the first round 2 case interviews and 1 with HR. In the 2nd round you have 3 interviews with more senior profiles like managers and partners.
Interviewers were really nice, but the process was difficult. Standard level cases and they expected you to take them through multiple business problems. If you practice casing frequently with multiple partners, you should be fine.

Question 1
Please walk me through how you would approach this case.
2 cases for R1. Pretty straightforward cases about revenue optimization opportunities. There was a little bit of market sizing but all data needed was given. No behaviorals asked in round 1 for me.
