I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company in Apr 2012
Interview
initial math exam then 2 rounds of case interviews; each interview was conducted by 2 consultants from the firm. Later stages conducted by senior members of the firm. Overall everyone was very friendly and were more than willing to help me through the process and try to get me to relax.
First - a Fit interview with Partner, which supposed to be followed by Case Study Inetrview, but I unexpectedly faced a standard Gorilla test, the results of which HR refuse to share
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you ready to subordinate to a manager that is younger than you?
Good interview process. Response was quick and was able to hear back on the outcome in a couple of days after the interview. 3 stags overall including the initial HR screening followed by a case study.
Case interviews in both Japanese and English. Case interviews were more like Fermi estimations for market size/customer size rather than formal business-structured case interviews. Brief introductions at the beginning, but generally not too focused on socialization.
