The job title of senior accountant comes off as sort of a misleading title to attract qualified accountants and demote their responsibilities to a bookkeeper for small businesses. If you are an experienced corporate or public accountant, I personally would say look elsewhere as this company’s niche is extremely small revenue clients that do not have any month end procedures or are externally audited. The interview was with the founder andthe communications was with HR. Both of whom didn’t come off as professional with the correspondence. I overall feel as though the environment came off as unprofessional in my experience with the interview process. These are my own personal opinions on the hiring and interview process. And again I would like to emphasize that this company seemed to specialize in bookkeeping rather than corporate accounting.
