I applied online. I interviewed at Barclays (Whippany, NJ)
Interview
Terrible Process and horrible HR. After submission, a Lead Corporate Recruiter at Barclays Greater Philadelphia Area reached out to me by email asking my expected salary to be eligible for consideration. I replied to the mail with expected salary and he came back asking my Resume (again !!), I had already submitted the Resume with application. He also informed that Barclay's was conducting interviews on 2 days (Wed 2/26/19, Thurs 2/27/19) at Whippany NJ office. I asked to get the details and specifics of the interview but he never bothered to reply or call. He provided a wide 4 hr. range on a work day and no name of interviewers, neither any other specifics. I believe it was a crazy WALK-IN and he was blindly reaching out to candidates. I didn't even think to attend such an unorganized walk-in without any prior technical/HR discussion. How do such people call someone in-person without any prior discussions. Just wastage of people's time. Do people go for such unorganized walk-in's at 15 plus years of industry experience or this guy was just bombarding the inboxes to see few might turn out. Is this what Barclays is? Terrible interview process... Never faced such a HR in my lifetime. Horrible experience.
Brief hiring screen with a recruiter followed by a panel interview with the team the successful candidate would join. It's been over a month and I've heard nothing from the panel or the recruiter, despite my reaching out for an update. A simple, automated "thanks, but no thanks" would have sufficed. Ghosting is really poor form.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays (Knutsford, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
Interview was smooth and quick turnaround. It was over teams with panel of two people that was organised via an agency. I was not successful, quite honestly don't know why, as this was the second round interview with them.

Question 1
How would you manage disruptive colleagues that did not agree with Scrum?
It did not feel like an interview. It was a nice and relaxed experience. The interviewers were warm and friendly, and very relatable. It was a mix of light-hearted discussions and interview questions, which greatly helped to take a way nervousness.
