I applied online. I interviewed at Bearly Marketing (Manhattan Beach, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Terrible. The owner/ founder was rude. 1. Couldn't pronounce my name upon meeting me and said, "it's okay, I'll just call you number 7." 2. I submitted an assignment for the position and she contacted me over the weekend to provide an update. I didn't care to learn about the outcome given that I realized that I could do so much better than working for someone like that. Also, her reaching out during the weekend is a red flag.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview itself wasn't difficult. I can't speak to whether I was getting an offer or not, I didn't care for it after the initial introduction.

Interview
Went through two interviews online (remote position). The first one was a bit difficult and the second one was somewhat enjoyable. They also had me do some sample work for them (took a little over an hour to complete). After all of this they asked for a good number to reach me at, so I was confident I would at least be heavily considered at that point. Then they simply ghosted me. I emailed them a week later asking about the status of my application to which I received no response. During a global pandemic with the job market in its current condition, having someone go through all of this to simply ghost them is unkind and unnecessary. It takes 60 seconds to tell someone they weren't selected for the position. However, after seeing the other negative reviews for this company, I somewhat feel like I dodged a bullet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very basic interview questions, nothing special. "Tell me about yourself" "How would you describe a good customer experience" "Why did you apply to this position"

Interview
Pretty straightforward. The phone interview is with the boss wanting to get to know you and why you're interested in the position. The in-person interview is with the boss and supervisor. You are handed a notepad where you answer why marketing is important to you and small businessess.
