      Cashier/Customer Service Representative Interview

      14 Feb 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy in Feb 2011

      Interview

I applied online on a Friday and got a call back the next day for a phone interview. I answered the questions and then set up an appointment to meet with one of the managers. I got an interview with her for a few days later and everything went great! She just asked the basic questions that came from a questionnaire she had printed off. She tried to schedule an interview with the other manager for the same day, but ended up having to do it a week later. I met with him and he also had a questionnaire printed off that he asked questions from and at the end offered me a position which I accepted! Now I just have to wait for my drug test to come back.

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Markham, ON) in Aug 2013

      Interview

Expect multiple interviews: one on the phone, one with your division manager, and a final one with the general manager. Questions asked were very typical of these interviews, such as adv/disadv, tell me about a time where _____ , etc. They ask you ethical questions such as you see your manager stealing, what would you do? Answer tell upper management no matter what! As long as you remain honest, personable and charismatic, you should get the job! Humour seemed to work in my favour too.
