I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2011
Interview
Interview was very long and had multiple steps. Two interviews with lower management and then an interview with the general manager. This spanned over a week. The interviews were not difficult, but seemed a little much for a retail job. I was interviewing for a store that was opening (has since closed down), so others may not be as involved
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked general questions about life and school. What your work schedule could be like and if you would be flexible. Generic questions about technology and asked to sale them a piece of gum.
Was not hard. Asked simple behavioural questions and wanted to grasp if I could handle high-pressured environments to be able to handle work on days such as Black Friday. Mostly just talked about my past experience in retail!
It wasn’t bad at all. It was just a few quick questions about my past experience and whether or not I would be able to work part or full time, stuff like that.
