I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bird in Sept 2019
Interview
The first round was a call with recruiter and it went well after which they connected me with someone for a technical video interview. Although it was a scheduled video call, the interviewer mentioned no need for video. The person was taking the call sitting at their desk which I assume is in a large round table environment. It was very difficult to hear due to continous and loud background noise. There were only two questions asked in this 2nd round (due to noise issues) which were simple and I had cracked it. After waiting for few minutes I hesitantly did mention that it was very difficult to hear but the person just said there is no space available for me to go and talk elsewhere. After 3 days got an email from the recruiter that they dont want to proceed with next steps.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bird (San Jose, CA)
Interview
Half hour super fast paced interview.
The interviews gave me 2 tables - about 5-7 assumptions which are confusing and unrealistic in RDBMS.
He got offended when I told him we can use Columns in Group By which are not in Select statement and vice versa is not possible lol
1 phone interview with recruiter

1 sql video call and IDE test
