It was a very positive experience overall. The recruiter was located in California and I am in Toronto. We built a good rapport, and he was very kind and easy-to-talk-to. He explained the role and answered all of my questions about the company. I appreciate that he was upfront about the compensation structure. He prepared me for the 3-hour interview with the team which consisted of a mock pitch, and back-to-back interviews with several members of the team, finishing with the hiring manager. The interview was great. I was well prepared and excited to meet the team. Each person I interviewed with had a different set of questions prepared. They gave me a good sense of the culture and type of people who work at Block which made me excited for the opportunity to join the team. I received positive feedback after each interview and felt very confident. Although I did not receive an offer, I feel grateful that the recruiter circled back with me, providing feedback and an opportunity to refer me to a more suitable position coming up. Overall, it was a great experience!
