      Salesforce Developer Interview

      11 Oct 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Bluewolf (New York, NY) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Step 1: Intro with HR and talk about your experience Step 2: Technical manager tests your experience. Couple of high level solutioning disucssions. Interview might be short though Step 3: They give you assignment with few base requirements and few bonus requirements. They expect you to code exactly as per what they think requirements are. If you have questions on requirements, it is better to talk to the person who gave them. (which I didnt do) Step 4: Presenting what you developed. This is tricky part. Interviewer doesnt tell you what he is expecting but if he misses noticing what he expects, they seem to take it as negative without asking developer. They do not validate the assignment conceptually but rather expect it to work as they expect. If you assume any part of the requirement assuming that you are still able to demonstrate the concept without focusing on delivering exact expectation, you will be screwed. Also, they also expect you to write test class. If you miss even a single part of base assignment, they wont even proceed further with bonus requirements and disqualify you. Step 5: If you qualify in step 4, you will have a final meeting with director (more on HR front) Bottom Line: Their interview tests you completely based on delivering assignement. They dont care/ask if you are expert in any particular area. Their interview should test conceptually whether developer is able to deliver rather than exactly meeting their expectation of requirement and also, there should be technical questions beyond assignment

I received a coding challenge via HackerRank shortly after I applied. It went smoothly and we moved onto the next step which was a non-technical phone screen. Unfortunately I wasn't invited for an on-site or further interview.

It lasted less than 10min, only introduced Bluewolf and asked you why you want to change job. Anonymous interview candidate
      Champaign, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bluewolf (Champaign, IL) in Apr 2018

      Interview

They sent me an OA, a very easy one. Then had a 15 min phone interview which they called “both tech and behavioral”, but it was purely behavioral because the interviewer don’t know nothing technical. A week later they rejected me. I have no clue what was wrong.
