I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group (New Delhi) in Apr 2010
Interview
4-5 interviews including HR and final offer. You go ahead only if the previous one is successful. Very consistent interview process across different interviewers. Mostly case based - 2 cases per interview is a minimum. The cases are usually a stripped down version of a real life case example that the person must have gone through.

There are 2 stages of interviews, with each stage having 2 back to back interviews. Stage 1 interviews are generic case interview testing general problem-solving skills and ability to work alongside general consulting teams on case work similar to what you would be working on a project. The second stage now goes into the technical parts of the job, testing technical capabilities. They provide a practice tool to use (Case Coach) to assist with Prep work.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group (Chicago, IL)

2 heavy math cases with conversational back and forth with a partner. Brush up on exhibits and quick math skills. Casecoach is helpful for structures and drills. Suggest to also train with a partner for final recommendations.
