I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Botpress (Montreal, QC) in Aug 2025
Interview
I had an online assessment, non-technical screening call, followed by a technical screening call, and 2 technical interviews.
The technical interviews consisted of 1 questionnaire, with various questions in development, followed by a live-coding interview in-office. The interviewer offers the perfect amount of give, not too much as to give you the answer, but does not punish you for small syntax errors that don't affect your understanding of the problem.

Question 1
An example would be: Given this Git command, what would happen after clicking enter. For the technical live-coding: Adding functionality to an existing codebase.
I interviewed for an entry-level developer role at Botpress. The recruiter framed the interview as a role discussion, but it quickly turned into a technical screening with little warning. I felt blindsided by the shift in format, especially given the expectation set. Additionally, the feedback I received afterward came across as unprofessional in tone, which left a poor impression overall. I would suggest more transparency and consistency in how interviews are conducted and communicated.
