      Client Services Coordinator Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bridgewater Associates (Westport, CT) in Sept 2011

      Interview

Recruiter submitted my resume on Wednesday and they called on Friday to schedule an interview on Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. I was emailed a copy of Ray's Principles, various press clippings, links to employee videos to study, as well as two different personality/behavioral assessments to be completed before the interview. I was advised to study the results from both exams and bring copies with me. I was given very specific instructions about parking, building entrance, etc., as well as driving directions to the campus. Everyone I met with along the way was warm, friendly and personable, up until the actual Hiring Manager, of whom i had been warned. She kept me waiting approximately 45mins and then ate her lunch while she interviewed me. I had been advised from the recruiter, as well as all of the research I had done online, that this woman was rude and difficult and often only met with candidates for a few minutes before abruptly dismissing them. However, for some reason, I believe she was interested in me and kept me there for a long time.

      Question 1

There weren't really any unexpected questions because i had been briefed on what they expected and what they ask during the process. The tricky part was really the personality/behavioral tests because they really do hire according to the "right-fit" in terms of a group/team dynamic, so there is difficulty in knowing how to present yourself, since you have no idea which slot in the team they're looking to fill.
