Oh dear. Where to start. This place is a scam. They are seeking the absolute most desperate people. Do not waste your time unless it's this or starving.
First was the assessment. It was 20 minutes for 20 questions that had nothing to do with computer engineering. They were literally questions cut out of a book and scanned into a pdf, you could see the grain of the paper. At least one of them was missing half the question.
Then came the phone interview. They work 5 days a week, required in-person, no remote working, even during lockdown. I was told, among other things, that required work hours are 9-6, but that employees were encouraged to "volunteer" to work longer hours than that without pay.
Then the actual interview. I was interviewed in a group, with other people applying for other jobs. We were told to come up with an idea for a product that "measures true love" and then sell it to them. So they have never actually checked in any way to see if I know how to do so much as turn on a computer. It finished with this weird mindgame from the CEO that felt like dialogue out of a Saw film. Essentially, he asked us to pledge that if we get hired, if we make a mistake, the company will calculate how much revenue that mistake cost the company, and then we will be expected to voluntarily pay the company out of our own pockets.
Also there are pictures of the CEO on every wall.
This place is weird, creepy, and an absolute scam. The pay was the lowest I have seen offered for any computer engineering position. They are looking for underlings who will tell the CEO how great he is and have no spine. The only reason they ever gave us why we should want to work there is, that because they offer no help or support, if we actually do something right we'll get to proudly say we did it on our own, because we will never get assistance from colleagues or managers.
