I applied through buzzybooth and did a video call with Jolina. It was one interview then a follow up. Overall the experience was neutral, she went straight to the point. I did feel like I was distracting her, and at that point I should have taken the hint to not take the position.
This was a start up and a horrible experience. No training, horrible direction and horrible communication. The owner was spending too much time making sales with cheap presentations, rather than improving her business. And this is why it has not grown.

Applied on Angel List and Jolina reached out shortly after. We set up an initial interview where she asked me about my previous experience working in account management in the fitness industry. She asked lots of probing questions about the fitness space and it seemed like she was fishing for information more than she was interested in learning about my background. After the first interview, she asked me to write a sample 'cold' email to a potential client and to evaluate the economic viability of pursuing gyms as a possible new client base. She told me she'd get back to me within a week and I never heard from her. Jolina only interviewed me because she saw that she could pry some information out of me and never followed up. It was pretty unfair and unprofessional.
