The interview process at Carvana felt extremely broken and like a massive time sink. It started with a recruiter screening and follow-up call, then moved into a take-home SQL coding assessment, followed by a technical skills round with a Senior Manager. After that, there were 8 additional rounds focused mainly on team fit, involving Directors and Senior Directors across multiple departments. At that point, the process felt excessive, poorly designed, and completely disproportionate to the role. I was honestly amazed that so many senior leaders had that much time available for such a drawn-out interview loop. Overall, the experience came across as inefficient, exhausting, and not respectful of candidates' time.
To add to it, they flew me into Tempe for a day, extended an offer and then rescinded it due to inefficiency in visa transfer from their end.
