I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CBC/Radio-Canada (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2025
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter and given a take-home assignment, which I strongly believe was based on one of their real projects. The task was to design a RAG system for CBC data. I took it very seriously — spent four full days on it, completed everything, and even tackled all the optional parts. Despite that, after weeks of silence, I only received a generic rejection email from the recruiter with no feedback or explanation. It felt like they just wanted to use my ideas and code for their project rather than genuinely considering me for the role. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Interview
I took a coding exam containing three questions. They were typical programming questions. After a week , I had a phone interview which was mostly about my resume. I was told that the next round would be a panel interview but never heard back from them.
