After taking an online "test" a score was given and several emails were received when positions became available. The application is available online. The actual interview consisted of a 20 written question in response to a situational question as it relates to the job. The following 30 minutes is a 3 person panel consisting of roughly 10 questions.

This is an entry level position, but the interview was quite difficult in my opinion. It consisted of 6 questions to be answered by each applicant. It was also conducted in person during the pandemic. There was a 20 minute writing exam prior to the panel interview as well. It was a very time consuming process. Note that I felt that because of the way the California State hires people, I would not get the job in any case because of my ranking on the list. They pretty much confirmed that they did not check lists prior to interview requests via the interview email.
