Had an interview here with a manager who conducted himself in a noticeably pompous, condescending and arrogant demeanor. I previously interviewed for Carver before they opened and my experience then was very warm and friendly; this time is it was like an interrogation to discount me, waste my time, the manager's and that of the company. The guy asked questions which have probably have nothing to do with the day-in, day-out service of guests and that can be easily trained for either on the job or as part of formal training, but instead it was like he was getting pleasure in asking me questions which he assumed I didn't know then went on a rant about how great the restaurant is, his recent operational challenges and future aspirations for the restaurant. I could appreciate him saying those things if he's interested in bringing me aboard but considering that I wasn't hired it was just a waste of my time, his and the company's as mentioned. Other people were in line to interview so I'm wondering if he kept them waiting just to get disparaged as well.
The grand opening was in December of 2021 and they're already hiring a new round of staff less than a year later. That really cannot be a good sign of how they treat their employees, and I've heard it was better off that I didn't get the job anyway from people on the inside. This is a non-union job at the moment.
