I interviewed at Casa Raudha Women Home (Jurong West New Town, )
Interview
Onsite somewhere in Jurong West area. The interview was meant for a Finance Executive, however the ED changed the scope and wanted to expand it as the organization is evolving. The questions are more relatable to skillsets and what I wanted to do in the present and future aspiration. The ED decided to push for me to take on the (Senior) Finance Executive / Asst Manager role which was new designation involving HR, Donor management on top of Finance responsibilities. It was indeed something I look forward to take up the challenge, however due to some red flags during the process, that make me decided to reject the offer as I felt half-hearted when I was selected for the role. It was very sketchy as during the whole interview process (2 rounds), I was not aware that it was a 1 year contract. It was not published in the JD nor was it explained to me during the interview process. On top of that I was only given a sample Employment Contract and not the actual one. It was mentioned, I will sign it only on day 01 reporting.

I applied online. I interviewed at Casa Raudha Women Home (Jurong West New Town, ) in Aug 2020
Interview
It was a mess from the minute the exec reached out over email for the interview, to the end of the scheduled session with the hiring manager. She was quite presumptuous regarding my profile and did not bother to ask why the various contract roles I took up during my earlier years, and dismissed it as short-term roles and hence lacking the experience. In addition, she misinterpreted my account management experience as an accounting-based function which is far from reality. The icing on the cake was when she offered a totally separate role that has nothing to do with the role I applied for.
Suggestion: Please improve on the way you reach out to candidates and avoid last minute changes on a really short notice (the interview timing was pushed earlier at 7am on the day itself). Also, instead of concluding an interviewee’s profile, please ask them for clarity.

Question 1
Nothing major. As mentioned, the hiring manager pretty much has formed her own judgment of my profile.
