I applied in-person. I interviewed at Cathay Pacific
Interview
Staff collected documents first, then group discussion. After that, it's a one on one panel interview. I felt great disrespectful for this part. As the interviewer looks so unprofessional and rude. She asked to share an impressive experience from my previous experience without clarify a pleasant or bad ones. However, I answered with a pleasant experience, she said this is a happy experience wo, can you share a bad one? With her facial expression, she looked like she expected a bad one like those questions people share online. The most impressive part from her is that she looked at my resume and know that I was a ex crew worked in a airlines based in Hong Hong before. Then she asked me have you ever been to Hong Kong? My previous company and CX both belongs to the Swire. She so incredibly impressive HR with a strong Hong Kong English accent while like someone who never knows the civil aviation. I didn't get the offer even I passed the TOEIC test before the interview and kept my smile while the HR asked me dumb questions, while some of the candidates who got the offer are just graduated without any flight attendant experience. Half of them failed the TOEIC test yet got the offer with further chance to retake TOEIC. I strongly suggest CX to be transparent about the interview, if you prefer to recruit flight attendant without previous crew experience with the English level that not meet the TOEIC standard. We spent so much money for the transportation and hotel to attend the interview. I felt humiliated by your interview.
