      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Cathay Pacific

      Interview

The transition from Flight Purser to Senior Purser at Cathay Pacific was a smooth and well-structured experience. Having already built a solid foundation in crew management, inflight service delivery, and safety procedures, the promotion felt like a natural next step. The application process was straightforward—internal candidates were invited to apply via the company portal. After submitting my interest and updated credentials, I was scheduled for an in-person interview with members of the inflight management team. The panel focused on scenario-based questions to assess leadership capability, decision-making under pressure, and the ability to mentor junior crew. Thanks to my experience handling long-haul flights, irregular operations, and high-profile customer service situations, I felt well-prepared. The conversation was professional and encouraging, emphasizing Cathay Pacific’s high standards and commitment to developing internal talent. Shortly after, I was notified of my successful promotion. The process not only felt efficient but also reaffirmed the company’s dedication to recognizing growth and experience from within.
