I applied online. I interviewed at ClassicCars.com (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2018
Interview
My biggest mistake was not asking first for salary details before traveling way out to Awhatukee Foothills. It's REALLY far out there and almost nothing is nearby.
First I was given a ridiculous Algebra test (very basic 9th grade level, about 10 questions) then I talked to the manager that had been there about 6 months.
My takeaway from the interview was this is a company that has insanely high turnover and doesn't invest in its employees. Doesn't even have a 401(k) plan. Its just churn and burn.
My advice if you want to get into a field like this and are good at it, go with a company that actually makes enough money to provide you a real career. You'd be better simply working at a car dealership.

Are you comfortable making a large amount of cold calls?

Interview
First I was asked to do a written "reasoning" test and was provided a calculator. It had approximately 12 questions and was basically a math test, which had nothing to do with the position requirements, asking math questions that most people have not done since high school.
I met with the Marketing Director, and then was asked to come back very shortly after to meet with the Vice President and President. I had wonderful conversations and great rapport with all 3 of them and I was really excited about the company, the position, and the work that needed to be done. I received a phone call and was told that everybody loved me but they could not meet my salary requirements. I was told they felt I deserved what I was asking for based on my qualifications and experience, but in so many words said that they did not want to insult me by offering me such a low salary.
I was honestly very saddened at this news, as I really enjoyed everybody that I interviewed with and was genuinely excited about the opportunity of joining the team. I wish they would have confirmed my salary requirements before they invited me for the first interview, because they wasted not only my time but the time of 3 very important positions at their company. The expectations and goals of this position were very high and I am saddened to hear that they are not appropriately compensating based on what achievements they expect their employees to make.
