I completed my first interview on Zoom, the process went smoothly and I was emailed later with a second interview opportunity. From their email, it sounded like I was close to being hired and the second was more day to day requirements. I flew out for a few days to meet my employer in person and look for housing, since I was planning on moving to the area. The second interview went great- or so I thought. We talked about basic day to day expectations and I told them the date I would have completed my required CPR class, since mine was soon to expire. It ended with them telling me they would send me a contract in a few days (I take this as an offer) and to send a photo of myself and short bio for the website. Sounds great! I quickly went back home, signed a new lease, and moved my life out to San Diego (which the employer was aware of). The day my lease started (2 days before training was supposed to take place), I received a template rejection email from them with ZERO explanation. I have not been treated this badly by an employer in my LIFE. Appalling behavior and not who I would want to work for. I was left scrambling for secondary employment. Still am shocked that someone can treat others like this. Take you time and effort elsewhere.
