Absolutely unhinged process. My first interview was with the head of HR, who took up 20 minutes of my first interview going straight into the specifics of the health benefits before asking my name, experience, or anything about me/the position. Had six total interviews, with each of the last three interviews being billed as "the final step." After the "final final final" interview, they surprised me by proposing a test that they told me would take "anywhere between eight to twenty hours." Eight to twenty hours of unpaid work, after six interviews. It was an incredibly insulting way to cap off a total mess of a process. If their interview process says anything about the current state of the company, I can safely say with certainty that you should avoid this company at all costs.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Counterplay Games (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2022
Interview
Multiple calls, all dedicated to looking at my previous work. Showed a lot of compassion towards my history of work and discussed how they might apply to the new position.

Interview
After a short introductory call, they asked for a technical assignment which was reasonably time-consuming. The assignment had to be presented to a group of 3, followed by a discussion about implementation and design choices/ideas. Overall, a good experience with what seem to be professional devs and decent human beings.
