      Product Manager Interview

      8 May 2013
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Credit Karma (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Reached out to HR via email. Did initial phone interview followed by an on-site interview which lasted for about 5 hours. Faced a whiteboard test on coding, met with 3 Engineers, and the CTO. Followed up by an interview with a current product manager. The entire interview with the PM was an organic interviewer-led case. Overall was a very pleasant experience, and one of the best interview experiences Ive had.

      Product Manager Interview

      13 Sept 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Credit Karma

      Interview

Phone screen, onsite interview. Overall a good experience. Recruiter, hiring manager and the panel were all respectful. One thing I noticed that the company has grown a lot in the last year or so everyone I spoke to was less than a year in. Tells me one of two things 1. They are ramping up to build other lines of businesses to diversify and get to profitability. 2. Things seemed to be in a bit of chaos. And some of the panelists hinted towards that.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Karma (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Talked with 4 different managers about their experience and different situations that could come up in my 8 month contract. They asked a lot of situational questions. What would I do if this happen? How would I handle this etc.

      Question 1

Its all about your experience here. They really want to know what makes you qualified to work there. What were your failures and wins at your last job.

      Project Manager Interview

      31 Aug 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Karma (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

What I believe to be the hiring manager reached out to me via email and set up an initial phone interview, so I would say the typical recruiter/HR person was bypassed altogether (until later in the process). In the phone interview, I was asked more detailed questions that I would have expected initially, but that's okay because I had tried to prepare for anything. After that there was a second video conference interview with a "workplace quality" manager which I think was to help gauge your personality and if you would be a good fit for the team and company. The online interview was a series of (4) 30 minute interviews with various members on the team asking questions where you provide examples of how you would handle a situation based on your experience (sort of typical open ended questions). There was a backed HR/recruiter person that was facilitating the set up and giving feedback as well.
