4-step interview consisting of three phone calls and one in-person interview over a month long process. For the most part, very professional interviewers - no complaints.
1. Phone interview with HR - generic HR questions of what your goals are, how you found out about this job, and why you want it.
2. Phone interview with SOC lead - technical questions ranging from entry level security to some more mid-level concepts. Questions are taken from online word banks for generic IT interviews so one can prepare ahead of time if need (e.g. difference between symmetric vs asymmetric encryption, explain SYN, SYN/ACK, ACK, what's subnet mask for /24, etc).
3. In person interview with SOC lead, and Chief Operations Officer. More general questions about who you are, and what you're trying to achieve. No technical questions, a lot of 'resume probing' to ensure accuracy and credibility of what you put on it.
4. Phone interview with Founder/President/Owner. No HR questions, or technical questions. One of the more unorthodox conversations - trying to get a basis of the candidate's background and thought process, but the vibe I received is how the owner will benefit from having you there.
Declined offer due to high amount of accountability, responsibilities and meeting metrics for what the compensation was offered.
