I interviewed at Defense Innovation Unit Experimental
Interview
One round - virtual interview and behavioral questions. Overall pretty standard, don’t be thrown off by no cameras because it standard throughout the process. Applied in mid-July and interviewed a few weeks later
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Defense Innovation Unit Experimental
Interview
Interview process as a reserve officer was relatively short. First step was a screening video call with the senior reservist from my military branch that was about 30 minutes long. That was followed by another video call with the deputy director of the portfolio and the portfolio exec/chief of staff, also 30 minutes. Both calls focused on general questions about my background, interest in applying to DIU, and what I could bring to the unit. After that, I was given an offer.

Question 1
DIU members are expected to operate autonomously and without much explicit instruction. What will you specifically do to find work and optimize your support to DIU's mission?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (Washington, DC) in Aug 2022
Interview
Referrals carried a lot of weight. Knowing someone who worked there often gave you a leg up. Understanding both the defense acquisition and VC backed investment cycle is really important. Thorough interview process, great place to work.
